Grade Families,
I hope that
your family is enjoying all that Summer Break has to offer. We are excited to
have you join us at the junior high, We are about six weeks away from
BOOT Camp and your official first day at the junior high.
The last days
of summer break are often cluttered with buying uniform-appropriate clothes and
school supplies, so I wanted to send a single email with consolidated
information to help you prepare for a successful seventh grade year. Many of
the items below should be completed before the first day of
school. Please make sure that you have recently visited our Seventh Grade Website for details about BOOT
Camp.

Important dates:
Wednesday, August 17th
from 7:45 AM - 3:00 PM - 7th Grade BOOT (Basic Optimal
Organizational Training) Camp
Our 7th
graders should arrive no earlier than 7:15 AM. Schedules will be given out to
students during BOOT Camp.
A pizza/potluck
lunch will be provided during BOOT Camp. Parents will eat separately from their
child. Parents attending the
BOOT Camp lunch will need to RSVP using the link included in Mr. Pollards email
below.

Thursday,
August 18th from 7:45 AM - 3:00 PM - 8th graders join us for
the first regular day of classes. Seventh grade students will attend the
classes on their schedule.

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Junior High Back-to-School Night

Pay
School Fees: All junior high families fees are paid online
through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal and will become
accessible on August 1, 2022. Fees must be paid prior to the first day of
school. Please contact the Finance Office at 719-488-6204 if you are not
able to pay your fees before the first day of school or need to make other
arrangements.
Read
and Sign Secondary Parent/Student Handbook: The Secondary
Handbook is accessible through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Please read and digitally
sign before the first day of school.
Shop
for Summer Supply Lists: Seventh grade teachers provide parents with a
list of supplies to allow them to shop for the best deals over the summer and
be prepared for the first day of school. Supplies are listed by course. Some
classes are student specific like Band or Choir, and your child's specific math

Review
Dress Code for Junior High: The dress code at the secondary school is
similar to the elementary with a few more options with respect to color and
outerwear choices. Within the Secondary Dress Code policy, you will notice that
Oxford shirts are defined, the length of shorts are to be no more than 4 inches
above the knee, skirts need to touch to the top of the knee, and there
are also guidelines on outerwear and pants. Secondary Dress Code

wardrobe purchases.
Secondary
Calendar 2022 - 2023: This information can be used to help you plan for school

to Infinite Campus Parent Portal Information: Junior high
information throughout the year will be sent home digitally to your email
address in Infinite Campus. That being said, please follow the instructions
below to get your year started off on the right foot and give the junior high
staff a chance to serve you more effectively.
Confirm that TCA has Accurate and
Updated Contact Information:
Go to the ASD20 website and sign in to access your Parent Portal.
Please make sure that your information for your phone number and email address are accurate. (your phone number can be changed on the "Household Information" page and your email address can be changed on the "Contact Preferences" page). You will also want to make sure that you have listed the appropriate people under your emergency contacts.
